Bill Jacks
Bill Jacks is a distinguished leader in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as co-founder and President of Virtus Renewables and former Chief Revenue Officer at Hounen Solar Inc. With a focus on enhancing revenue, optimizing market opportunities, and steering growth, Bill brings strategic vision and innovation to the industry.
He co-founded Titan Renewables and served as its Chief Business Development Officer and President, creating a robust service organization for C&I and utility-scale projects.
Previously, Bill was the Executive Vice President of Operations at Renewable Concepts Inc., overseeing business development and project execution. He also held key roles at Gemini Energy Services, including Director of Field Operations and Director of Quality Assurance.
Bill Jacks is known for his strategic foresight, operational acumen, and commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions globally, ensuring sustainable and innovative energy for future generations.
Bo Thisted
Bo Thisted has been a pioneering leader in the renewable energy sector for over 35 years. As one of the original architects of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards at General Electric (GE), Bo played a crucial role in shaping the industry. He spearheaded the initial roll-out of GE’s 1.5 MW wind turbine fleet in North America and managed all GE prototype and special projects.
In his entrepreneurial journey, Bo founded UpWind Solutions, which became the largest independent service provider in the renewable energy sector, managing nearly 3 GW under long-term O&M agreements. Under his leadership, UpWind Solutions successfully raised capital, acquired several businesses, and was eventually sold to Vestas.
Bo’s innovative spirit continued with the co-founding of Next Level Solutions, focusing on building and optimizing service organizations. This venture paved the way for his next project, Titan Renewables, which later merged into the RNWBL group.
Virtus Renewables is the culmination of Bo’s extensive experience and visionary leadership in the renewable energy industry, representing decades of dedication to advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Klaus Obel
Klaus brings over 30 years of diversified experience in the renewable energy sector. With extensive international project management and EPC construction expertise, he has built and operated well over 3 GW of renewable projects, including a 20 MW battery storage facility. This unique experience makes him exceptionally qualified to manage your next project.
Klaus holds General Contractor’s licenses in multiple states and has a rich professional background, having worked for renowned companies such as RNWBL, Titan Renewables, SunEdison, First Wind, UPC, FP&L, GE, and Vestas. His proven track record in the industry ensures that your project is in capable and experienced hands.
Rick Friesen
Rick has extensive experience managing a large workforce on multiple projects spanning across the US. Over the past 15 years, he has worked with various companies in the renewable energy sector, building their field operations and implementing strict environmental health and safety programs. An expert in logistics and project management, Rick is dedicated to delivering high customer satisfaction through meticulous planning and execution.
